Maisie's Race by Jeni Mawter

Maisie's school was having a Mini Olympics day but Maisie wasn't looking forward to it. She wasn't in any races but she really wanted to beat her classmate, Harriet Tate. Harriet was in the green team and Maisie was in the cheering squad for the pink team.
Harriet had won lots of races and the green team was beating the pink team by 1 point before the last race - the long-distance race. Maisie had a great idea and asked her teacher if she could do it. The teacher finally said yes, and on the last few pages you find out that Maisie is in a wheelchair and the teacher has let her be in the long-distance race. She wins the race, beating Harriet, and the pink team wins the Mini Olympics!
I really liked this story and especially the surprise at the end.

Zac is on a misson to Craggy Mountain to save alot of water.BIG is guarding the water that Zac is trying to get to.Zac made the guards sick, exploded Craggy Mountain so that all the water went out and made the head guard faint.Zac then got home and cleaned the bathroom!!!!!!

Wow Aunt Tabby said Araminta this will be a great way to spend my birthday! Sorry Araminta said Aunt Tabby but I already promised Barry and Brenda and Drac that if I won I would bring them with me.

Now Araminta Great Aunt Emiline will be looking after you. Soon enough it was time for them to go. Where's Great Aunt Emiline? asked Wanda. If she dosent turn up Nurse Waitkins will be looking after you. Oh no my day was suddenly turning into the worst day of my life.  About an hour later the door bell rang. Wanda and I opened the door. And suprise suprise it was Nurse Waitkins. An hour later we were eating brussle sprouts and I can tell they are horrible! Then the doorbell rang again. It was Mathilda my almost grown up sister. I was hoping that she was going to somhow persuid Nuse Waitkins to let her look after us. Yes! I don't know how she dose it but she convinced Nuse Waitkins that she would look after us! amazing! The next day Sir Horace was being a sad ghost I asked him why and he said that his old castle was getting knocked down!  This book was a great book. I would rate it a 8 out of ten. You should go to your local Libary and see if they have this book and if they do get it out and try it.

This book is about ten dalmatian dogs and a men and a lady.The mum and dad dogs had 9 puppies.The father dog was called Pongo and the mother was called Perdy.One day the woman and a lady took the dogs for a walk with the 9 puppies.In a car they saw a woman called Cruella.Cruella was a dog thief.She thiefs the dogs at night when everyone is asleep.Cruella told Horace and Jasper to get the 9 puppies tonight.When Pango Perdy wake up and find that there 9 puppies aren't there.Pongo and Perdy were very very very sad even the people that owned the dogs.Then Pongo had a idea why don't we send messages to all the dogs in the street.They even sended a message to captain the horse and colonel the dog and s.g.t tibbs the cat.That night the horse and the dog and the cat went to the thiefs house and saw the 99 dalmatian puppies.Then the horse and the dog and the cat went to sent the message back to Pongo and Perdy that Horace and Jasper had the 99 dalmatian puppies were there.Then the horse and the cat and the dog and Pongo and Perdy went to Horace and Jasper house to see if they could sneak the 99 puppies.Pongo tripped up jasper and the cat scratched Horaces head.Then pongo and perdy called the 99 dalmatian puppies and took them home and the family lived happily ever after.

Amy moved into a new house and mainly lived in the upstairs because she liked it best. Some mice also lived in the house but they lived in the downstairs because they liked it the best. Amy liked to play the violin but the mice thought it was a ghost. The mice wanted to know why Amy had moved into teh hose and bought a ghost with her. They got their Uncle Wisemouse to come and see about the ghost but even he didn't realise it was Amy's violin.

I thought this was a cool book and really liked it.

Pippi decided that she was going to try to cheer them up so she came in riding on her horse carrying a Christmas tree on her head. Now Pelle, Bosse and little tiny Inga were thinking that this was the weirdest Christmas ever but they soon thought that it was the best Christmas ever.You could hear the crunch of them eating marzipan canes and you could  smell the most perfectly cooked turkey and you could hear them all dancincing and singing Christmas carols around the Christmas tree. What a great Christmas!!!!!

There are 2 more stories in the book. I enjoyed reading the book.

The Troll's Story.

Written by Juliette Mack, illustrated by Helen Casey.

Mr Troll builds and fixes bridges. One day he had 2 bridges to look at. 1 was made of steel and 1 was a wooden bridge. The steel one had a broken cable that had been cut by someone. He phoned his office and told his team to come fix the bridge. Then he found a hole in the wooden bridge. He looked around and found hoof prints in the dirt. There were 3 kinds of hoof prints. They looked like goat prints.
Mr Troll thought the hoof prints belonged to the Gruff brothers.

Mr Troll phoned the Police Chief and they made a plan to hide in the bushes to catch the Gruff brothers. Mr Trolls team fixed the bridges, then the Police and Mr Troll hid and waited.
Then the billy goats Gruff came to the wooden bridge and started to break it again. The Police Chief caught the Gruff brothers and took them to Police station. The Police Chief told the Gruff brothers that they had to help Mr Troll fix the bridges. Mr Troll taught the Gruff brothers how to fix the bridges and how to build the bridges. They stopped being bad billy goats and the bridges were safe for everyone to use.

The Call of the Wild by Jack London

It's about a dog and he was the king of all the dogs in the town where he lived. One day he went out for a walk with his master but he was caught by mean men. He ran up to the man in the red sweater and jumped at him to bite him but his club was too strong.

He went to Alaska and saw white stuff like mud falling from the sky. It was snow! He worked on the dog sleds but he wanted to be the leader. He fought but didn't get the lead until he killed the leader.

Buck pulled lots of sleds and made a good friend, John Thornton. They found the gold except the Indians came and fought them. Buck fought too but he was too late - John was dead so Buck joined up with the wolves in the forest.
