This story is about a toad who goes fishing in his pond on a boat tied to the rushes that looks rather like the other lillypads. His rod was a stalk of grass and he tied a worm to the line which was a rather long horsehair.

Instead of catching a fish for dinner he was almost eaten by a trout and then a snapperfish.

His friends came to dinner anyway.

One day ellen looks in the mirror and out comes Mirror Belle. ellen wasn't pleased, she didn't want to see Mirror Belle. Mirror Belle put Ellen into trouble, double trouble. ellen made a disgusting bath for them to hop into. It got rid of the spots. ellen was pleased that her spots had gone into the disgusting bath.

 A girl called Millie went on a trip to see how other people live.When she was nearly there,there was an eathquake and the bus broke down.She stepped out of the bus,she went to a smooth patch of grass and got out her pocket knife.She got some flax and made a little shelter and went to sleep.In the morning she woke up and found some bananas,sugar cane and coconuts and ate them for breakfast.She asked the other people if they wanted some they said "no thanks" and walked off.By lunchtime everyone was sprinting around trying to find food,they were desperate for food for ages until they found some.They got rescued and thanked Millie for her help and flew home in a helicopter

I think this book is a very interesting book.
I really enjoyed it.

Maisie's Race by Jeni Mawter

Maisie's school was having a Mini Olympics day but Maisie wasn't looking forward to it. She wasn't in any races but she really wanted to beat her classmate, Harriet Tate. Harriet was in the green team and Maisie was in the cheering squad for the pink team.
Harriet had won lots of races and the green team was beating the pink team by 1 point before the last race - the long-distance race. Maisie had a great idea and asked her teacher if she could do it. The teacher finally said yes, and on the last few pages you find out that Maisie is in a wheelchair and the teacher has let her be in the long-distance race. She wins the race, beating Harriet, and the pink team wins the Mini Olympics!
I really liked this story and especially the surprise at the end.

Now Araminta Great Aunt Emiline will be looking after you. Soon enough it was time for them to go. Where's Great Aunt Emiline? asked Wanda. If she dosent turn up Nurse Waitkins will be looking after you. Oh no my day was suddenly turning into the worst day of my life.  About an hour later the door bell rang. Wanda and I opened the door. And suprise suprise it was Nurse Waitkins. An hour later we were eating brussle sprouts and I can tell they are horrible! Then the doorbell rang again. It was Mathilda my almost grown up sister. I was hoping that she was going to somhow persuid Nuse Waitkins to let her look after us. Yes! I don't know how she dose it but she convinced Nuse Waitkins that she would look after us! amazing! The next day Sir Horace was being a sad ghost I asked him why and he said that his old castle was getting knocked down!  This book was a great book. I would rate it a 8 out of ten. You should go to your local Libary and see if they have this book and if they do get it out and try it.

This book is about ten dalmatian dogs and a men and a lady.The mum and dad dogs had 9 puppies.The father dog was called Pongo and the mother was called Perdy.One day the woman and a lady took the dogs for a walk with the 9 puppies.In a car they saw a woman called Cruella.Cruella was a dog thief.She thiefs the dogs at night when everyone is asleep.Cruella told Horace and Jasper to get the 9 puppies tonight.When Pango Perdy wake up and find that there 9 puppies aren't there.Pongo and Perdy were very very very sad even the people that owned the dogs.Then Pongo had a idea why don't we send messages to all the dogs in the street.They even sended a message to captain the horse and colonel the dog and s.g.t tibbs the cat.That night the horse and the dog and the cat went to the thiefs house and saw the 99 dalmatian puppies.Then the horse and the dog and the cat went to sent the message back to Pongo and Perdy that Horace and Jasper had the 99 dalmatian puppies were there.Then the horse and the cat and the dog and Pongo and Perdy went to Horace and Jasper house to see if they could sneak the 99 puppies.Pongo tripped up jasper and the cat scratched Horaces head.Then pongo and perdy called the 99 dalmatian puppies and took them home and the family lived happily ever after.
